I put my focus and energy into getting to know every family I work with so I can create portraits that are one-of-a-kind and capture the essence of your beautiful family. That’s why I especially enjoy photographing a family throughout their growth journey, from maternity to newborn to milestone and first birthday portraits.
Photography has been a lifelong passion for me, dating back to my high school days. In my adult years, I decided to start taking my craft more seriously and turning it into a career. After taking courses and working with an amazing mentor, here I am!

At Heather’d Violet Photography, my primary focus is newborn photography as well as photography surrounding the journey of welcoming a new baby to your family: maternity photography and baby photography through the first year of life.

No matter what the calendar says, it is “Taco Tuesday.” Always. Chips and queso are a must!
I’m passionate about retail therapy (it really should be covered by insurance).
Grey’s Anatomy has gotten me through many nights...along with Golden Oreos and maybe a margarita (on the rocks, no salt!) or two.
I like to think that there is good in everyone--maybe that is why I love Disney World so much? Dream job!
Country music concerts are good for my soul. And, a tropical beach! There’s something transforming about a cool ocean breeze, toes in the sand, and waves washing away the worries.
Friends that become family are my jam. Or, maybe that should be “ice cream,” because there’s always room for ice cream. But, not snakes. Nope. No room for snakes.
Laughter, however--bring on the aching abs! I’ve learned that what I think of myself, is what matters most. And, that a Diet Coke from McDonald’s is the BEST!
I believe that when you are grateful, you can’t be hateful. Most of all, I believe that the brightest star in the night sky is my Mama shining down on me.
